Minutemen Protest

250 people gathered today outside CSULB’s university student union in protest of Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minuteman Project speaking on campus.Students and faculty stood in a line that wrapped around the building to hear Gilchrist and Enrique Morones debate the immigration issue in the Beach Auditorium this afternoon.
Mark Andrews, President of CSULB's ASI thought that the event went well. He was happy that both sides were able to share their views with no altercations; refering to student protesters at Columbia University stroming the stage.
"I think that it was handled really well," said Andrews "you cant limit what people are going to say, or who's going to come to campus."
